Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters airs in Ireland
This week marks a startling development for 4Kids. Apparently 4Kids has created a 12-episode OVA series entitled Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters to coincide with the launch of Matel’s Yu-Gi-Oh capsule toys ($19.99 for the starter set and $9.99 for booster packs). The strange thing about it is the fact that it aired in Ireland dubbed in English without any publicity whatsoever. Capsule Monsters utilizes the same animation style as the Pyramid of Light movie and is censored. Yugi sports a megaman type blaster and golden armor. Anietra GuzmĆ?n from 4kids issued the following statement:
‘Capsule Monsters are a series of episodes never aired in Japan that will release in the US on DVD and on TV tentatively in the fall. Before you can see them on TV you will be able to pick up Part 1 of this never before seen movie on DVD this spring/summer…’
