Review
Rurouni Kenshin The Movie sets after the Kyoto Arc and the fight with Shishio, but centralizes around the death of Gentatsu. Graphics and music are drawn straight from the anime series providing a familiar feeling of watching an episode, only three times as long. Kaoru, Yahiko, Sanosuke, and even Saitou make their appearance. The fighting scenes are action packed as expected with Sanosuke’s Futae No Kiwami and street punk attitude, Saitou’s gatotsu and his Aku Soku Zan philosophy, climaxing in a dramatic finish between Kenshin’s Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu and Shigure’s Saiki Kanuma Ryu styles. Definitely a must see for all Rurouni Kenshin fans.
