Manga Entertainment Confirms Expired Anime Licenses

According to an update at Anime News Network, Manga Entertainment confirmed to them that several of their licenses have expired. Including the two Patlabor movies we already knew about that went to Bandai Visual USA, they list The Guyver (OAV), Fist of the North Star (TV), New Dominion Tank Police, Red Hawk, Dark Myth, Black Magic M-66, Wings of Honneamise, and Gunbuster as all expired (meaning it’s not theirs anymore, there’s a good possibility some other company will now snap up the licenses to these anime).

Howl’s Moving Castle Earns Oscar Nomination

The nominations for this years Oscar’s are up and the theatrical release of Howl’s Moving Castle (the latest film directed by Hayao Miyazaki) last year earned it a nomination and places it up against Corpse Bride and the Wallace & Gromit movie (Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, to be more exact).
