New York Comic Con has come and gone. This year’s event was just as crazy if not more than last year’s. I am definitely looking forward to next year’s convention. Here is my report on NY Comic Con 2015. Enjoy.
Global entertainment studio All Nippon Entertainment Works (ANEW) is partnering with Imagine Entertainment and BANDAI NAMCO Pictures to develop and produce the English-language live action feature film TIGER & BUNNY based on the smash hit Japanese anime series and feature films, it was announced today during New York Comic Con. The live action film adaptation is being produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, ANEW’s Sandy Climan and Annmarie Bailey, and Masayuki Ozaki on behalf of BANDAI NAMCO Pictures, a subsidiary of Sunrise. Mr. Ozaki produced the original Japanese TIGER & BUNNY brand under the Sunrise banner, one of Japan’s leading anime studios. Imagine’s President Erica Huggins will oversee the new film on behalf of Imagine Entertainment. (more…)

Image Comics, comiXology and Amazon announced on October 8th, 2015, an expanded and renewed distribution agreement to sell Image Comics’ digital comics and graphic novels across the comiXology platform and expand the distribution of their library to the Amazon’s Kindle Store. (more…)

VIZ Media brings one of Japan’s most celebrated anime series to an exhilarating conclusion as it announces the home media release of the final BLEACH DVD Box Set Edition on September 29th. VIZ Media announces the release of its latest shojo manga (graphic novel) series with the launch of KOMOMO CONFISERIE on September 1st. The romantic comedy, created by Maki Minami, about a sheltered but determined girl finding her way in the world after her family goes bankrupt is rated ‘T’ for Teens and will carry a print MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN. KOMOMO CONFISERIE also launches digitally on September 1st via VIZManga.com and the VIZ Manga App, as well as from the Nook, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology, and GooglePlay stores. The series will be published under the company’s Shojo Beat imprint with new volumes scheduled for release in print and digitally on a quarterly basis. (more…)
