Viz Media Launches Shoujo Manga Komomo Confiserie

VIZ Media announces the release of its latest shojo manga (graphic novel) series with the launch of KOMOMO CONFISERIE on September 1st. The romantic comedy, created by Maki Minami, about a sheltered but determined girl finding her way in the world after her family goes bankrupt is rated ‘T’ for Teens and will carry a print MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN. KOMOMO CONFISERIE also launches digitally on September 1st via VIZManga.com and the VIZ Manga App, as well as from the Nook, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology, and GooglePlay stores. Manga-ka Masashi Kishimoto, Creator Of Naruto, Will Appear At NY Comic Con 2015.

ReedPOP announced that renowned manga artist Masashi Kishimoto, creator of Naruto, one of the most successful manga properties on the planet, will be appearing at New York Comic Con and New York Super Week. In what will be his first ever international appearance outside of Japan, Kishimoto will take part in two panels and multiple autograph sessions, giving fans unprecedented access. His panels will take place on Thursday, October 8 and Saturday, October 10 during New York Comic Con. He will also host autograph sessions at Kinokuniya Bookstore and Barnes & Noble as part of New York Super Week. Masashi Kishimoto is appearing at New York Comic Con with the support of VIZ Media. This year fans will have three options to purchase tickets for New York Comic Con, including online at the New York Comic Con website, on-site at Special Edition: NYC 2015 on Pier 94 June 6-7 and an event at Midtown Comics later this summer the exclusive retailer for NYCC 2015. Viz Media Receives Multiple Nominations For 2015 Eisner Awards

Viz Media announced four of its critically-acclaimed titles have been nominated for the 2015 Will Eisner Comics Industry Awards, as announced by the awards committee. The nominations include HELLO KITTY, HELLO 40: A CELEBRATION IN 40 STORIES for Best Publication for Early Readers, as well three nominations for manga (graphic novel) in the category of Best U.S. Edition of International Material – Asia. The Right Stuf’s affiliate program has been around since this site was created… the program will finally shut down on May 1, 2015 detailed in an email by Right Stuf president Shawne Kleckner. Honestly, I am surprised that the program has lasted this long. Mr. Kleckner also mentions that, Right Stuf hopes to bring the program back in some form in the future. Don’t hold your breath folks.

VIZ Media expands its publishing roster as it announces the acquisition of the supernatural action manga (graphic novel) series, TWIN STAR EXORCISTS. Created by Yoshiaki Sukeno, TWIN STAR EXORCISTS is set to launch in the Summer of 2015 and will be published in print and offered digitally under the company’s Shonen Jump imprint. Anime producer and distributor Right Stuf, Inc. is excited to announce a new expanded distribution deal with Sunrise Inc. to release the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise in North America.

The Mobile Suit Gundam franchise is a space opera anime that redefined the mecha genre. The original Mobile Suit Gundam series focused on using giant combat robots as a tool to win a war.
